The Past Week In Pics!

I wish I had a good excuse as to why it's been an entire week since I've updated.

My days lately have been consisting of 'wake up, walk the dog, chores, workout, walk the dog, sleep'.

It's an exciting life I live, let me tell ya.

But mixed in the everyday blah, I get to do fun stuff too.

Because YOLO, right?

Here's what I've been up to since we last spoke:

~Easter came and went and I was reunited with my fav candy

~I got to hang out with some peeps

~The boy and I went to our first Astros game of the season

~I spent Friday pampering myself up a lil'

and I FINALLY got my hair back to the perfect shade of blonde

~Spent Friday night having a paint war with a few thousand of my closest friends

and this was the aftermath

~Spent Saturday watching my boo buy a Truck

Somethin about a boy in a truck, amiright?

~And on Sunday went to the last Aeros game of the season with some friends

They won and are now playoff bound!

So there you have it.

Traditional Easter Post

This weekend is Easter and I'm so excited!

It has been a LOOOONG 40 days, friends and my sanity has been missing me some Chocolate!

I can't wait to much on some of these

and kiss my diet good bye!

I kid, but don't think I haven't been putting in extra this week just for the simple fact that I know Sunday will be a feast!

Unless my Momma has waited on me, which I doubt she has, I won't be able to make any Easter eggs this year so I'll leave you with some crazy cute egg designs!

How do people do this?!

Random Nonsense

 As always, I'm feeling super random.

Like there are a million different things traveling around in the 'ol noggin.

Lets discuss these things, shall we?

~John is out of town for work and I misses him!

(yes I said misses on purpose)

Hopefully he gets to come home Today and then we can head off for a wonderful Easter weekend!

~Last night was the One Tree Hill series finale. 

Ah...talk about a tear jerker.

Good thing John wasn't home to make fun of me crying over this.

I couldn't believe that this show had been on for NINE YEARS, and that I've been watching it from the beginning.

So if we do some simple math, I've been watching this since I was um, 15?!

WHAT?!

I don't even remember being 15.

So so long ago.

Well, nine years to be exact. 

It was such a great show and now I have no reason to turn on the TV Wednesday nights.

Well, I'm sure I'll find some reason to turn it on, but you get what I'm sayin.

~Dear creepy men who honk and hollar at me while I'm walking my 100lb dog,

No. That in no way makes me want you.

No. Your 1992 Toyota Corolla does not do it for me.

Yes. You do come across as creepy.

Yes. I will sick my dog on you if you ever decide to stop.

No. My dog would never hurt a fly, but you don't know that. 

In conclusion, you're creepy, theres a 98% chance you're missing 75-80% of your teeth, and I already have a man (with all of his teeth, thank you).

Go honk your horn somewhere else.

~Last night, after One Tree Hill, I decided to up my IQ a couple of points by watching a marathon of Toddlers and Tiaras.

If I ever have a daughter, bet her first phrase will be "honey boo boo child".

Believe dat.

This show also reminded me that I need a spray tan...or any tan for that matter.

If you can't tone it, tan it! 

amiright?

Well I think thats about enough for now.

Ya'll are probably thinking I've lost my mind.

And seeing as the most intelligent conversation I've had all week has been with Cash...my dog, maybe I have.

Tomorrow is Good Friday!

{I'm Loving} that Easter is this weekend and I get to go visit the momma and papa bear!

Easter at our house is pretty much like Christmas part 2 minus the presents (but I feel that I'll never be too old for an Easter basket, mother).

This is the first year John will be joining the Easter festivities.  

Are we growing up?!

Gross.

{I'm Loving} Working Out.

Yes.

You read that right.

For about 2 weeks now John and I have been on a 5-6 day a week work out routine and I'm starting to get to that point where if I miss a day I just don't feel right.

I also have been taking puppy Cash on hour long walks every morning before it gets deathly hot and humid.

You apparently can't survive a summer in Houston without spending 97% of the time in or around a swimming pool.  That being said, I would not survive my conscious if I wasn't prepared for spending 97% of the time in or around a swimming pool.  

So workout I must.

Weekend in Pictures

Happy Monday!

I woke up to a rainy day here in Houston booooo, but the weekend was beautiful so I can't really complain!

I got to spend the day with John on Friday and our inner child decided this was a good idea

And in case you're wondering...it was.

We spent the night at the dog park/bar with our good friend and her puppy Laney

Her and Cash are dating...it's getting serious.

Saturday morning we woke up ready to head to the gym when my poor baby begged me not to go

We went, but puppy got a good long walk and some play time at the park when we got home.

Boyfriend was his sweet self as always...

Nothing better than flowers on a Saturday!

After our work out we headed to the pool to soak up some sun...yes in Houston, March is prime pool time.  And for the sake of my self esteem, I didn't take a pic of me at the pool...one day tho ya'll. :)

John and I are on a new diet/ exercise routine where we work out 5-6 days a week, BUT we agreed, in order  to maintain our sanity, we needed to allow ourselves one cheat day where we can eat the foods we love!

Yesterday was our cheat day.

Gotta love The House of Pie. 

But I finally got a fresh new pair of Nikes that will help me work off that slice of pie today!

I had to go to three separate Academy stores to find my size in these, but so worth it!

Last night we went to some friends house to watch the season premiere of Game of Thrones.

Do ya'll watch this?

I'd never seen it before, but I'm pretty sure I'm hooked...and I usually hate fantasy type shows.

It was really good!

Well, that was my weekend in a nut shell.

Tonight we're heading to watch the NCAA Championship game with some friends.  I'm making a pinterest appetizer that looks super yummy and easy.  I'll post the recipe to that tomorrow!

Last week I took a little mini trip home to see momma bear, papa bear, Oscar and Ginny.

It was so good to get away from the busy Houston city life for a few days and relax.

We did a little fishing and I caught this big guy
