If God Brings Ya To it....

Can I just say "Thank GOODNESS" this week is O-V-E-R?

After the awfulness that was my life being stolen, I spent the next day trying to get everything back which may have been just as awful.
Running all over town trying to get a Social Security card, car registration, license plates, and drivers license when your only ID is a passport is no fun.
In fact, it's miserable.
But, with strength from the good Lord, it's all done and behind me and I'm ready for next week and new beginnings!

John and I are headed to Momma and Papa bears to retrieve this little guy and bring him home to Houston!
So excited to have big man with me! There are so many fun parks and bars/restaurants that allow dogs in Houston and I can't wait to show him off.

I finally get cable and internet at my house Monday AND I have a phone interview for an awesome job! I don't want to give too much away and jinks myself, but I had two face to face interviews yesterday that went AMAZE so they sent my stuff to the corporate office and set up a phone interview with the district manager.
Pray, pray, pray!
I'm super excited about this opportunity and (lets be honest) I need some good news after the horror of this week!

I hope you all have a wonderful relaxing weekend! I don't know about the weather where you live, but it's sunny and 75 here in Houston...in the middle of January...insanity.
So get out and enjoy it if you can!!

To catch a thief

So I was really excited to get back into the swing of things today and do my favorite Wednesday link ups, but sadly I have way more important things to do today...like protect my identity.

Yesterday while I was working on my fitness, my car was broken into (stay classy Houston) and my entire purse and iPad were stolen.
I know, it serves me right for leaving those things in my car, but I drive an SUV so I don't have a trunk to put things in.  Instead, I covered them up with my jacket...not good enough ya'll.
This guy was a professional.
And I say guy because I saw who did it on the surveillance tape.
He popped the lock on my handle so the alarm didn't even go off.

To make things worse, I had a job interview yesterday morning in which I needed to have my Social Security card and two forms of ID.
Yep, those were still in my purse when it was taken.
No bueno.

After a day of bawling my eyes out and feeling like the biggest idiot EVER, I've somewhat composed myself and now I'm off to a busy day of getting a new SS card, getting my car fixed, and getting a new DL.
Since I just moved to Houston from out of state (literally 2 weeks ago) getting a new Drivers License is going to be a PAIN, but it had to happen sooner than later, I just wish it wasn't under these circumstances.

So girls (and guys) please, please, please learn a lesson from me.
Don't leave ANYTHING in your car...EVER. No matter what.

The feeling sucks.

I'm Baaaack!!

Well hello there, friends!!
It's been a hot minute since I've been on here and let me just tell ya...this little lady has been all kinds of busy!
But, hard work has rewards and my house is almost complete and if I can find the courage you're lucky, I just might bring you a little video tour of my humble abode later this week!

In the meantime, since I've neglected my loves so so badly, let me give ya a little bullet point quickie post of what in the WORLD I've been up to in the past couple of weeks!

1. Christmas happened:
I got everything I could have wanted and so much more

2. I spent a couple of days in Memphis with my bests:
It was too much fun.

3. I packed up my life in a U-haul and hauled it on down to Houston:
John had to drive it, bless him.

4. New Years Happened:

5. LOTS (and I mean lots people) of home shopping was done in order to get my little home looking amazing!

6. The Cotton Bowl Happened:

And we won...naturally.

7. John's birthday happened:
Breakfast at Cracker Barrel

Afternoon at Dave & Busters

We won 1100 tickets...and all we could get was CANDY!

8. The parents came and helped me get furniture for the homestead, and I would be sitting on the floor and embarrassed to have any guests if it weren't for them!

9. All my furniture is situated and now I just have some final touches to make my house a perfect home!

10. And then I sat down.... haha, but seriously, what a busy New Year!

I haven't even been able to read any of the updates on my favs!
My house doesn't have cable/internet yet so I've been out of the loop, but I'm back and ready to jump head first into blogging about my life and what fun things this year will surely bring!

I hope you all have an amazing Tuesday!!
