drum roll please....

I PASSED MY EXIT PRESENTATION!!!!!
I know I've been annoying talking a lot about my exit presentation lately, but {cue angelic music} you won't hear about it anymore because at 9am this morning I said 'goodbye stressed out sarah' and 'hello fun sarah, so glad to have you back'!!!
And BOOM goes the dynamite!
Master Sarah... has a nice ring to it dontcha think? :)

Moving on, I've been wanting to do this post for a while, but I've been thinking about too many other things to be creative.  Now that my mind is free and all stresses gone out the window, I'm excited to bring you some future movies that I'm excited to see and I'm sure you'll love!

First up we've got Crazy, Stupid, Love with beyond gorgeous Ryan Gosling {obsessed} and hilarious Steve Carell.  From the trailer alone I know that I am going to absolutely love this movie... and if not then at least I got to spend an hour and a half of my life looking at Ryan Gosling.  It's a win-win, ya'll.

Next is Everything Must Go with my absolute favorite of all time Will Ferrell. In my opinion This man can do no wrong.  This movie is a little different from his usual movie being that it isn't stupid humor.  Regardless, it still looks funny and cute and I can't wait.

Something Borrowed has been all over the bloggy world lately.  While I haven't read this book, I've read another one of Emily Giffin's lovely books and if it's anything like the one I read then it's gonna be great! Oh and I also love Kate Hudson... anyone see that new rock she's wearing? Daaaaang!

The Hangover Part II... there's really nothing to say but 'duh, obviously."

Finally there's Friends with Benefits which should probably be concerned with how similar the plot line is to No Strings Attached it's the same movie ya'll. Will I watch it anyway? Yep.  Will it probably be bad? Yep.  Do I care? Nope.  Justin Timberlake provides some eye candy for the gals while I only hate you because you're SO gorgeous Mila Kunis provides some eye candy for the guys.  Again, we have a win-win movie on our hands.

I'm sure there will be many many more movies that I want to see this summer, but these are just a few that I've heard about so far!  I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! I'll be back Monday to update on possibly the best weekend ever I'll be having in Memphis!
XOXO,

i'm lovin' it

Happy Wednesday, ya'll!
Time to link up with Jamie to remember what I'm loving this week!

{I'm Loving} that I get to see my Memphis people this weekend!!!  This trip is long overdue, ya'll! I haven't seen most of my Memphis favorites in for-ev-er... not okay.  We will be reunited this weekend in Memphis for Music Fest!
Some of the headlining acts are: MGMT, B.O.B, Jason Mraz, Mumford & Sons, Cee Lo Green, Ke$ha, The Avett Brothers, Ludacris!
{There are lots more, these are just the one's I'm most excited about!}
I can't wait to finally be able to let loose and have some fun with great friends after the seriously awful busy past weeks I've had! If you're in the Memphis area you should probably come on down to Beale for some good live music!  You absolutely will might even catch me doing this at some point in the weekend.
{I'm Loving} that I give my final comps presentation tomorrow!
{excited sarah}
10 months of busy hard work, long hours interning, research papers, and data collecting...and it all comes down to this! I have to defend my research and present my portfolio in front of my professors at 9am tomorrow.  Say a little prayer for me! I'll obviously let you know how it goes tomorrow!
{I'm Loving} that Peyton Hillis got the cover of MADDEN!!
I love seeing former Razorbacks having successful careers!  Oh, and don't forget that he is gorgeous a reasonably attractive guy...
I'm officially having this framed.
{I'm Loving} that the snore Royal Wedding will be OVER on Friday and the world can go back to functioning at normal speed.
 I mean, I get the whole 'every girl wants to be a princess thing' but... blah blah, blah, get married already! I'm so over it.  Duh, I'll be watching to see what her dress looks like, but no ma'am I will not be waking up at 3am to catch every detail.  That's what Perez is for.
And as always, {I'm Loving} John even though he drives me crazy when he wants to argue and he only ends up sounding like this !!!
{he's obviously the donkey}

I'm also going to link up with Leigh Ashley to let ya know just a wee bit about me for...

{one} have you ever been stuck in an elevator?
Um, no THANK GOD.  I would die.

{two} have you ever ridden on an elephant?
No, but after reading Water for Elephants I want to so so bad!

{three} have you ever met a well known celebrity?
I have indeed!
{Notice the vagueness of this answer}

{four} do you have any food allergies?
Nope, big girl can eat it all!

{five} do you know how to sew?
I took a Costume Design class in undergrad that was completely sewing based.  I learned how to sew pretty much anything in that class.  I also got a sewing machine for Christmas this year.  So what I'm trying to say is, yes.

{six} did you get an allowance when you were young?
Not really, I'm an only child so I kind-of just got money on a "hey momma, I need some money" kind of basis.

{seven} how often do you fill up your gas tank?
Probably every other Friday, depending on how often I go to see John.

{eight} have you ever been stung by a jelly fish?
Hahaha... um yes, actually.  On spring break I was just minding my own business with friends hanging out on a sand bar when it started to feel like little needles poking us all over our legs.  At first we thought it was just our legs tingling because of the cold water, um...negative.  It was millions several tiny tiny jelly fish stinging the daylights out of us.  Oh to be young again....

{nine} have you ever been robbed?
Probably more times than the average person.

{ten} what is the worst haircut you’ve ever had?
Hmm... I'm not sure if I've ever just had a God awful haircut...but girlfriend has had some unfortunate hair coloring.  Right out of the gate I tried to let my mother give me some highlights out of a BOX.
{please don't judge me, I was in 10th grade and momma was naive}
Needless to say, Carrot Top over here had to be rushed to the salon like I was in labor to have things immediately fixed.

Well, there ya have it! Remember to be thinking of me around 9:00am tomorrow!!

XOXO,

puppy love

It's Tuesday! Time to brag on my little puppy children for a little bit.  Link up here to play along!
Today's 'Tail Waggin' theme is:
Where does your pet sleep?

Cash
So we tried this for a while... but John was too big of a softy and wouldn't just leave him in there when he cried so this didn't last long...

But we learned fast that Cash would sleep pretty much anywhere... in any position...
{haha}

But the poor tiny puppy {who's bordering 100lbs} just has to find a big enough space to sleep now...
{This can't be comfy}

{He'll lay on the bath mat while you shower, then fall asleep making it real convenient to get out of the shower when you're done}

 :)

Oscar
Weenies Dachshunds are known for being burrowers...Oscar is no exception.  For as long as I can remember, Oscar enjoyed not only sleeping on his pillow....but inside of it.
 With just his nose stuck out to breathe.
But no matter where he sleeps {which is pretty much anywhere during the day}, he likes to be under the covers because little guy gets cold.
{He's such a sound sleeper}

{He caught me!}

{After his bath... don't judge me}

oh, it's just a little sprinkle

It's raining... UNDERSTATEMENT of the year.  What in the WORLD is going on with this weather?! The UofA closed today at 3:30 because of severe flooding... really?! This never happens people... NEVER.  And it's still raining.
My usual 5min commute from campus to my apartment took 45 minutes today because of stupid cautious drivers going negative miles per hour.  So, while I was creeping along I took the liberty of taking some pictures of the tsunami that is currently hitting Fayetteville!
 {Any one got a canoe?!}
 {Leaving Campus}
 {Literally thought this car was going to be swept away}
 {Rain, Rain go away}
 {Waaaaade in the water}
 {Nope, the university didn't add waterfall features, just the overflow from Old Main lawn}
 {Good luck using these stairs}

So here I am, in my apartment, watching the world come to an end and wondering if I should go out and invest in a kayak or boat of some sort.  However, this weekend was BEAUTIFUL down in good 'ol Benton, Louisiana!  I couldn't believe on my drive back last night how much rain there had been up here  because there wasn't anything but blue skys and warm weather at home! I even laid out for a little bit on Saturday and got a tan... jealous?
Easter Sunday was wonderful as usual.  The family came over and we had a huge lunch with turkey, ham, green bean casserole, heaven cream cheese corn, and other yummy yummy stuff.  I even contributed for the first time this year and made Mexican chicken salad dip!  I was so full and tired that I had to pull over on the way home and take a quick 15min power nap because I kept dozing off at the wheel!
{Note to self: don't eat 1208127 calories before you have to drive 5 hours}

Not only did I get to see my family, I got to see this sweet boy.
 {doing his best 'seal' impression...he likes to tuck his legs under his little body}

Oscar, like his mother, likes to lay out in the sunshine and get a good tan.  Oscar, also like his mother, has terrible skin that likes to give him freckles and moles.  So today Oscar underwent elective cosmetic surgery to have his moles removed.  Which, I, his mother, am SO jealous of because I have never had the opportunity to undergo such a surgery.
{I see where the love is, momma}
{Bless his wittle heart! The little stitches from his surgery}

So that was my weekend! Now I'm just going to wait out the storm and catch up on some trashy good tv! I hope ya'll have a great week, and my people in Fayetteville: Be careful!

what i'm playing thursday

Today I'm linking up for the first time to bring you...

I'll admit, I heard this song first on Glee and then went to see who originally sang it. Now, not only did I download both of Adele's CD's, I am IN LOVE with this song and would definitely want to make a recording of this myself someday!

So on the way to work this morning, I was caught by a fellow driver BELTING this song out at the top of my lungs...'all by myself' in my car.  It's always nice when you make a fool of yourself at 7am.
{and duh I kept on singing, it was just getting to the good part}

Today a student gave an informative speech on Lil Wayne {seriously}.  Throughout the speech he mentioned all of his hits over the years, and it was like a trip down memory lane! So of course as soon as I got home I had to look up this song!
{what up high school?!}

This song makes me think of 90's R&B and I ain't mad at 'em for it.  Who didn't love Boys II Men? This girl did and STILL does. I mean 'End of the Road'? Probably the best high school graduation song of all time... but I digress.

I love anything this man and his cute little fiance does.  He would choose to come to the UofA for a free concert the weekend I'll be at Music Fest in Memphis. Oh well, maybe some other time
{hint hint John Andrew}

Hope ya'll are having a great week!

{wednesday link-ups}

It's Wednesday so that means I've got some linkin' up to do!
First we've got...
Head on over here to link up and join in on the fun!

I'm loving the new show Happy Endings.  If you haven't checked out this show yet, you are seriously missing out.  Probably one of the funniest shows I've seen since Modern Family AND it happens to come on right after Modern Family... coincidence? I think not.  Secondly, the main guy in the cast is really really good looking really not that hard to look at either... added bonus? Check.
**Note to self, Google searching "Happy Endings" is not necessarily the best idea ever.
I'm loving that I present my Exit Exam One week from tomorrow!!  Is this real life?? I finished my portfolio TODAY! So now all I gots to do is finalize everything, make sure I haven't used words like 'gots' and sit back and wait! What ever will I stress over and complain about when this is all over?  Do people live without stress? I guess I'm about to find out!

Yay times 12094823!!!!
I'm loving that GLEE is back!! I love Glee, I really do, but I'm kind of getting over the same 'ol same 'ol story lines... Sue hates Glee, she wants to destroy Mr. Schuester, blah blah blah we get it... write something more exciting so I'm not fast forwarding and only watching the songs during the show!  Not only do I love Glee, I love that some friends and I have Glee watching parties.  It makes it that much more fun!
Oh and while you're writing better dialogue Mr. Glee Writer, if you began to center the plot line around this guy I wouldn't be mad atcha.
I'm loving that I purchased this little gem...
I bought it on audiobook so I can listen to it on my 5+ hour drive home Friday afternoon for Easter!! I am excited and nervous.  I'm excited because I've only heard good things about this book and I wanted to read it before I saw the movie {which I most certainly am seeing, John Andrew}. However, I'm also a little nervous about the whole audiobook part... I've never listened to a book on tape and I'm scared that the people's voices who are reading will make me want to drive off of a cliff.
And as always I'm loving my boo boo.  I'm missin this face TOO much!!

I'm also gonna link up with Leigh Ashley to bring ya...

{one} how often do you do laundry?
Probably a disgustingly seldom amount.  I have found that I have a LOT of clothes, and if I can squeeze one more outfit out of my closet so I don't have to do laundry...then so be it.

{two} what is your favorite type of cookie?
Momma makes the most delicious chocolate chip cookie with coconut.  I die and gain 10 lbs with each bite.

{three} what would you do with an extra $2000 per month?
Hmmm... probably save it to buy a new car or a house one day or a new wardrobe or.....

{four} what was/is your favorite subject in school?
My favorite subject was definitely English even though I'll admit that I never read a single book in High School {all the teachers faint}  I really liked the writing aspect of English so that 's what kept me motivated.

{five} have you ever ridden in a hot air balloon?
No, but I've kind of always wanted to!

{six} what was your high school mascot?
R-A-M-S
Lakeside, GO RAMS!

{seven} if you had the chance to go into space, would you?
I don't really have any desire to go out of the country much less go to space.  I'm just find here in the good 'ol USofA.

{eight} how often do you go dancing?
Dancing? ME? Do you mean like, in public where people are supposed to be dancing, in public where no one else is dancing, or alone in my apartment with no one watching? Because I'd have to say "YES" to all of the above.  However, I have come to a realization that it will not be acceptable for me as a 40 year old woman to dance as shown above so I'd have to say that in my opinion, I probably don't go dancing enough!

{nine} would you rather drive or fly?
Drive. Flying gives me heart palpitations and makes me a child.

{ten} have you ever been caught re-gifting?
Nope.  Don't think I've ever re-gifted?!

Because I just can't get over how much I love Darren Chris from Glee, I'll leave you with one of his own songs!
Hope you have a great rest of the week!!
XOXO,

i confess...

I'm stressed.

There I said it.
My hair is falling out {literally}
I'm not sleeping at night {last night I woke up in 15 minute intervals... SO frustrating}

I'm a stress eater so I gain weight then stress out about gaining weight {vicious cycle}
I need the next two weeks {9 days to be exact} to fly by so I can get my life and SANITY back.
I'm going to watch GLEE tonight {highlight of my week} with some friends.
Apparently, there are tornados headed our way{typical} and I kind of wish they'd blow the school away so it would be cancelled and I'd have some time to actually do the 1203984 things I need to do before next Thursday. {TRUTH}
I'm going home on Friday for Easter {second highlight of my week} I can't wait.
Once again, I'm living for the weekend. Which is not good because it's only Tuesday...
No link ups today... just some confessions about how I feel!

XOXO,

{weekend recap}

The weekend came and went with a flash, but it was so fun none the less! Only 2 weeks until Music Fest in Memphis when I can have fun again! But for now, I'm gonna take a minute to recap the highlights of the weekend!
After John and Caitlin got into town we went out to dinner at a local sushi place, Wasabi.
There was a uncommonly long wait time so we put our names down then went next door to Ferrells for some drinks while we waited.
In hindsight, this was probably not the best idea since I hadn't eaten anything all day, but I digress....
{Caitlin and I at Farrell's}
{What a cutie}
{No big deal, just sexy Peyton Hillis.  He was my favorite Razorback football player, and currently my favorite NFL player next to Tim Tebow, of course.  If he gets on the Madden cover, I'm having a FatHead made of this}

 After we ate yummy sushi, we went back to Farrell's for more drinks and met up with some friends.  Then we headed over to Z {a bar in Fayetteville that no one really likes but EVERYONE goes to...explain that one to me} for some fun.  I'll just say that I may or may not have 'done it like Bernie' at one point in the night.  Sadly, There aren't any pictures of that.  I'm not sure what time we got home, but when I woke up the next morning I was excited to hear that we did NOT go to Taco Bell for late night.
Yep, It was that kind of night.

Saturday I was still tired from all of the drinks fun had on Friday night so I skipped out on the Red/White game and just watched it on TV.
In case you were wondering the Razorbacks won....
After a delicious lunch at Hammontrees {a gourmet grilled cheese, yes I said grilled cheese, restaurant}   we went to the Razorback baseball game with the rest of campus some friends! It was too much fun!
  {Just a couple thousand of our closest friends catching the game in the outfield}
{Caitlin LOVES Razorback baseball :)}
{Gah I miss this fella}

Sunday the saddest day John and Caitlin had to abandon me go back home and I had to go back to the real world of papers and data analysis.  As I yelled at you in the last post, I finished my research!  I have 5 projects due next Monday or "D-day" as I am affectionately referring it as.  After that I have to give my comps on the 28th then its easy breezy until graduation May 14th!!

Then, I only have to pack up everything I own in Fayetteville, and figure out what I'm doing for the rest of my life.  No big deal, right?
I found a quote the other day and I'm pretty sure I need to tat it up on my forehead so I never forget it:
"You can't change the past, but you can ruin the present by worrying about the future"

Hope ya'll have a great week!
Only 6 more days until Easter which means only 6 more days until I am reunited with my first love of SWEET TEA!! Praise the lord!!

XOXO,
