Fill in the blank Friday!

Link up with me and Lauren @ The little things we do for...

1.   My favorite color is   different for different situations.  Green is my ultimate favorite color, grey is my favorite wall color, pink is my favorite nail color, black is my favorite clothes color...lets be honest, I love colors.

2.  My travel destination of choice is   the beach...or really anyplace with sun and a body of water will do

3.  My favorite  food is    this is hard because girlfriend loves food...hmmm probably anything cheesy. Put cheese on anything and this girl will gobble it up.

4.  My happy place is  the couch.  Sad? Probably...but I just love laying on the couch.

5.  My favorite saying is     a lyric from Mumford and Sons (one of my favorite bands) "Love will not betray you, dismay, or enslave you, it will set you free".  Preach it Mumford, preach it.

6.  My dirty little secret is    literally dirty...I think If my hair never got gross looking, I would probably shower less.  I really hate taking showers, well maybe not showers so much but the act of getting ready after the shower.  I'm gross, I know.

7.  Something friends might say about me is that I    am fun and random and love dogs more than people... and they would be right.

I hope you're having a great Friday!

this little LIFE of mine

Okay...maybe it's just me but doesn't it make TOO much since for colleges to offer a course for your senior year in which ALL you do is learn how to search for jobs and then ultimately find a job?
No...
There I go again having too much common sense.
I hate when I do that.

But for real, isn't this the ultimate reason for college?
I mean yes, the fun and the people you meet are great and life long friendships/ relationships... yadda yadda yadda
But I mean ultimately, you spend thousands of dollars a year to be able to get a job in the future that does not require you to ask "would you like fries with that"

Job searching is stressful.
Notice how I'm posting about jobs just about everyday now?
Well I'm doing this for two reasons...
1. Because searching for jobs has actually become a job as of late
and
2. Because I'm praying hoping that one of you lovely readers will see this and say
"Oh EM GEE I have the perfect job for you...everyday the staff will hoist you over their heads and chant 'sa-rah beth, sa-rah beth' because you are just SO PERFECT for this job!"
I realize that they don't do this at any job.
I also realize that this may be exactly what's wrong with America.

Okay, I'm done with my job rant today and I promise to try and keep the job-talk to a minimum in the future...because I'm sure reading about my job searching is the only thing that gets you out of bed in the morning.

I saw this the other day and it really put a smile on my face and made me think about what really matters in life.  I hope this makes you smile too :)

wednesday fun

I'm baaaack!
Man, my weekend was fun!
Was yours?
Of course, in typical fashion, I did not take a single picture to document any of the good times I was having...
shame on me.
Buuut *silver lining* when I got home last night I found my camera battery still in my room from it's charging session.  So, good thing I didn't desperately want to take any pictures!
It was good to get away for a while and see some of my friends and just be around people under the age of 50.
I had a great time and can't wait to go back to Memphis soon!

Now on to Wednesday funs! I'm linking up with Michelle @The vintage apple and Jamie @This kind of love for 'oh how pinteresting' and 'what i'm loving wednesday'.
Play along...you know you wanna!
John Mayer... besides your weird dating life...you just may be perfect.

Puppies hanging from a clothes line... so cute, so inhumane.

I'm thinking new hair color, you know the whole 'new life, new me blah blah blah'... but in all seriousness I've always secretly not a secret wanted to be a ginger.  This hair color is exactly what I'm thinking...thoughts?

I want to lay with a bully in a puddle of ice SO BAD!
Amen wise man, amen.

{I'm Loving} that when I cleaned out my old car, I found burnt CD GOLD. There is nothing like a self made CD with "Hot Jamz 2005" written across the front of it. Jackpot.

{I'm Loving} that even though I am completely lost still have no idea what I'm doing with my life, I'm more at peace with it than I have been.  I joined Linkedin and have been looking at millions several different job search websites. And I'm praying. Lots and lots of praying.

{I'm Loving} satellite radio.  Plain and simple.  Nothing like commercial free music that surprises you with little gems like this on a Monday morning

And as always {I'm Loving}my children puppies!

Have a grrreat Wednesday!

Fill in the blank Friday!

Fridayyyyy!!
I'm off to Memphis for a MUCH NEEDED fun relaxing weekend with friends! Before I leave, I wanted to link up with Lauren @ the little things we do for...

1.   One of my happiest moments ever was    graduation day...both times.  I'm a first generation college student so it was really special to me to do something that my Momma could be proud of.

2.  Summer is wedding season and weddings are   fun when you know the people getting married and they're around your own age...BORING when you don't really know them or anyone else at the wedding.

3.  This summer    has been SO HOTT (with 2 T's).

4.  My summer food of choice has been  watermelon and sweet tea...not necessarily at the same time.

5.  My summer uniform has been    Nike shorts and t-shirts/tank tops. Lets be honest..this is my lifes uniform.

6.  If I could spend the entire summer in one location I would choose    hmm...somewhere where the temperature is a balmy 78 degrees at all times and there is an endless amount of fruity drinks, sunshine, and ocean breezes...sound good? K, cool I'll meet ya there.

7.  My summer anthem is     This obviously changes from year to year.  This summer my top  5 songs are:
1. Pit Bull ft. Neyo "Give me Everything"

2. Blake Shelton "Honey Bee"

3. Adele "Rolling in the Deep"

4. Jason Aldean "Dirt Road Anthem"

5. Pistol Annies "Hell on Heels"

I hope ya'll have a great Friday and an Awesome weekend!
I'll be back Monday, don't miss me too much :)

new lease on life

What a difference a week makes...
ain't that the truth?

This time last week I was all boo-hooing, my life is worthless, woe is me, super unattractive puffy eyed and basically a big 'ol hot mess.
I'm talking a BIG hot mess, ya'll.

Today I'm glad to say that today I am doing much much better and have a renewed view on life.
After having several therapy sessions with my main man Greg, I have realized that my life is not over, it's just starting! I have the opportunity to do literally whatever I want.  The biggest problem is that I'm not quite sure what that is just yet.  And so I'm thinking to myself 'well, good Lord Sarah, if that's your biggest problem then shame on you for ever getting down about it!'
Seriously...I have to tell myself to get over myself sometimes.

I was listening to the radio in my car the other day when Sara Evans' song "A little bit stronger" came and on, and not only did I belt it out along with her but I also rolled down the windows and yelled "PREACH!" at a poor pedestrian who had NO idea what he had just come across.  If you haven't heard this song here it is
Basically sums up the past couple of weeks/days except unlike that Sara, this Sarah does not have a penthouse apartment to sulk around in...and right now it's way to hot to wrap up in sweaters.
The shame.

SO with all of that said...I'm officially looking for a job along with everyone else in the world.
So if any of you readers out there (subscribers or not) have any leads on jobs in marketing, PR, Advertisement, Communication, Sports, Entertainment, Event Planning, Promotions, McDonalds, Janitorial work...okay maybe not the last two but you catch my drift, hit me up and let me know!
I'm fun...you want to work with me, I promise :)

I have a degree in Communications and a Masters degree in Teaching, but after teaching high school for a year, I've decided that is not my lifes calling and have SO MUCH more respect for all of you lovely teachers out there.

Also I'm free as a bird so I can literally go anywhere at this point!
I'd kind of like to stay below the mason-dixon because I hear they don't have sweet tea above it and a life without sweet tea is not a life I want to live.

Thanks for all of the comments and awesome feedback yesterday!
Ya'll are just awesome.
I hope ya'll are having a great Thursday!

wednesday link-ups!

Man, this summer is flyin by!
It's already Wednesday again which means its time for me to link up with my favorites Leigh AshleyJamie, and Michelle for my favorite Wednesday link up parties!
Play along...you know you wanna!

{one} what is your dream job?
Well isn't this question ironic... Dream Job would have to be the equivalent of what Carrie Underwood has goin on.  She is literally living my dream life.

{two} how many best friends do you have?
I don't know if I have a "best friend".  I mean I have my momma...but I have a lot of really good friends.  Facebook says I have 885 friends but that really doesn't mean much.

{three} what’s the longest road trip you’ve ever taken?
Driving from Arkansas to Tampa, FL just about every summer when I was little.

{four} if you had to do one single thing every day for the next year, what would it be?
Hmm...probably play with my puppies.  They make me so happy even when I'm sad... it's great to know something loves you so unconditionally like that :)

{five} what’s one story your family always tells about you?
Momma is always bragging on me (I am her only baby bear after all) so I hear different stories all the time.

{six} how did your parents pick your name?
I'm not really sure...but Sarah Elizabeth is definitely the most common name in the history of the world.  The parent's creative caps must have been off on baby name choosing day.

{seven} what’s the one thing that scares you more than anything?
I have a reoccurring dream where I'm driving along a very high cliff and to my right is some huge body of water.  Up ahead of me is a sharp turn and my steering wheel wont budge which sends me flying off of the cliff into the water where I'm trapped inside of my car.  Seriously.  I have this dream probably once a week...not even kidding.

{eight} are you a good cook?
I think I could be if I applied myself in the kitchen... when I was younger and Momma was trying to teach me to cook I would stand there and bang my head against the kitchen cabinets.  Now I'm starting to kind of enjoy it!

{nine} where do you see yourself in 20 years?
Lord, who knows...if I knew that I'd know what direction to take now!
I just want to be happy and healthy and surrounded by people/puppies I love!

{ten} what’s your best childhood memory?
Hmm..I'm not entirely sure.  I have a lot of good memories so it's hard to choose just one.

{I'm Loving} the new edition to my life...Tiffany the Tahoe!

{I'm Loving} the new book I picked up yesterday, One Day.  I've only read a couple of chapters so far but it's a really good, fast read.  They've also made this book into a movie, and I always like reading the book before the movies so I'm glad I picked this one up!
Here's the movie trailer.

{I'm Loving} that I'm going to see friends in Memphis this weekend! I can't wait for this much needed get away!
{I'm Loving} that I have such handsome men in my life...
*in love*
I've got some calendar model dogs, ya'll!

haha... love it.

most patient puppy! Bless his heart!

I cried reading this...
"Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died, my 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey.  She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her.  I told her that I thought we could so she dictated these words: Dear God, Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick. I hope you will play with her. She likes to play with balls and to swim. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her You will know that she is my dog. I really miss her. Love, Meredith We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it. Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office. A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet.  I told her that I thought He had. Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, ‘To Meredith’ in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called, ‘When a Pet Dies.’ Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey & Meredith and this note: Dear Meredith, Abbey arrived safely in heaven. Having the picture was a big help. I recognized Abbey right away. Abbey isn’t sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don’t need our bodies in heaven, I don’t have any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by.  Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you. I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much. By the way, I’m easy to find, I am wherever there is love. Love, God…"

Hilarious...

Have a great Wednesday!!

when words fail...music speaks

I realize I should probably be strong, not show my emotions, but I think that's exactly what's gotten me to this place.  So you know what, yeah...I am sad.  My heart is just lying around in pieces on the ground.   Just when you think you have a part of your life all figured out, everything changes.  But with time, I'll be fine.  I always am.
