A boot scootin'

Okay ya'll...lets get real for a second.
I'll be the first to admit that I am the hardest on myself when it comes to my appearance.
I don't know how to take a compliment...ever...but with a lot of therapy and drugs support from the ones I love, I am learning to cope with myself and not care so much what others think.

With that being said... I think I'm a normal size person.
I mean, I could stand to loose a few lbs...but I've lost 20lbs this summer and am pretty content with how my jeans are fitting for the time being.

However, it's fall.
Which means boot season is upon us!
I love boots!
What I don't love?
Boots that won't fit my tree trunks calves!!!
There is nothing sadder than going into the store, finding the "perfect" boot and trying it on only to have the sales lady say "oh honey, I don't think you could stand to tuck your jeans in there too."
There is nothing worse.
Okay, maybe a sales lady saying something like "bless your heart" when you're trying on a bathing suit would be worse...but ya'll get the idea right?

So sadly... until I have the fat and muscle sucked out of my legs via plastic surgeon, these beautiful Tory Burch boots will have to remain a dream.
*sigh*

Am I alone here?
Do you have muscular calves?
WHERE DO YOU BUY BOOTS?!!?!

All my love!

Slackerrr

This girl is a blog slacker and I wish I could tell ya'll a good reason to explain my slacky-ness (I like to make up words).
You see, what had happened was.... I haven't really had much to talk about this past week! I'm really okay with it too...I have been SO busy this month going out of town EVERY weekend that I'm completely okay with being super low key this week.
Just been doing a little bit of work, and a whole lotta nothing.
Living the dream, basically.
But fear not my bloggy friends, things are about to get a tad bit more interesting!

Next weekend I'm heading down to Houston to look for...wait for it... a HOUSE!!
Cash and I are packing up from the 'rents and heading south!
I'll tell ya'll more about that one next week!

As for now it's time to link up with Lauren @the little things we do for...
1.   When I was a kid I wanted to be an architect(I know...random) when I grew up.
2.   As an adult, my dream job would be whatever Carrie Underwood chooses to do   .
3.  W hen I was younger I wanted to be just like Britney Spears  .
4. The childhood Halloween costume that I remember most was when I was I never dressed up for Halloween...I don't really get why people enjoy Halloween so much?
5.  My favorite childhood toy was probably Barbie...in any of her many many job forms.
6.  The time I got into the biggest amount of trouble when I was a kid was when I hmm...I don't really remember, but I'm sure my mother will inform me after she reads this.
7.  I get daily inspiration from Pinterest...it's an addiction.

I hope ya'll have a great weekend!
Until next time...

Just add some butter ya'll

So...what did you do last night?

Did you go get a book signed by the southern Julia Childs?

Momma and I did!
Paula Deen was in town on her book tour and of course Momma wanted to go see the queen of "ya'll and butter" so I played along because it was so fun to see Momma get so excited about something!
Here we are with our "Southern Cooking Bible"
yes, the book signing was at Wal-Mart. of course.

She's just as pretty in person as she is on the tv! Momma told her she loved her and she said "thank ya'll" all slow and drawn out...I love it.
I will gladly be Paula Deen when I grow up.
I want to have someone make a website out of my "sarahisms"... look at the Paulaisms here...hilarious!

“I’m gonna add…what the heck, I think I’ll put a tablespoon of butter in it, just cause I saw the butter sitting back here! Can’t resist it!”

Here's her little signature! There were over 700 people there to get their books signed.  She was in Monroe, LA earlier yesterday and signed over 600 books there. I can't imagine how cramped her hand was.  But she was so nice and smiley!

All in all I'm glad I went with Momma.  It was fun (even if I was the youngest person there) haha!

Love you Momma!

I'm so ashamed...

So so ashamed of my picture taking skills, friends.

I just don't know what it is...I just completely forget that I have a camera anytime I go do something.  How do you go up to someone and say "hey, will you take a picture of us because we don't want you to be in it. thanks."... so awkward.
I need to hire someone to follow me around on weekends and take candids the entire time.
Or I could just become famous and have paparazzi for free...hmmm decisions.

But I did take SOME iPhone pictures from this weekend (of course), which was so fun by the way!

The weekend as seen by Cash:
because obviously I take more pictures of Cash than I do of myself...
(clockwise from top left)
1. Road trip!! Cash loves going for rides, and his Momma loves the floor mat I got to protect Tiffany from his pesky doggy hairs!
2. Cash's first trip to a bar/restaurant! I LOVE that dogs are allowed on some patios in Houston...Cash was so good.  We'll definitely be going back to this place!
3. PUPPY PARK!!! Cash died when we got here.  He ran and ran and played with the other puppies.  And I was in heaven because I love dogs more than most people.
4. "bye bye Houston"...Cash literally stared out the back window the entire ride.  It was so sad.  He misses his Daddy!

The weekend as seen by ME:
1. Having a little dinner with my boo and Cash!
2. Out on the town...only picture I got to take was on my iPhone...typical.
3. I got to see a whole lot of this picture...(I'm sure I'll be getting an "awesome. thanks for that picture on your blog" text from someone later on today) Johnny boy was tired from a long work week and needed to play catch up.  Sleepy sleepy boy!

So there ya have it...such a wonderful relaxing weekend with my boys!

Hope you all had a great weekend too!
Happy Tuesday!

Fill in the blank Friday (all the way from Houston!)

Hello from Houston!!
Johnny bananas is at work, so Cash and I are just hanging out enjoying the nice weather!!

So, while we're taking a puppy play break, I thought I'd check in with Lauren @the little things we do for...
1.   The most selfless thing I've ever done was hmm...well I don't have children, and I'm not married...so this is hard.  Isn't the point of doing something selfless so that you don't brag about it to make yourself feel better? Yes...that's how I'll get out of this question...haha.

2.   When it comes to working out it's a love-hate relationship.  I hate it while I'm doing it, then I looove being sore the next day and knowing that I did something right!

3.  A woman should always be confident in herself no matter what the occasion.  And this woman should learn to take her own advice!

4. I wish I could teleport and then I'd never get a speeding ticket EVER AGAIN!! .

5.  A best friend is someone who loves you without judgement but then can also tell you when you're being stupid.

6.  I can't get enough of Modern Family.  Seriously...funniest show ever.

7.  This weekend I am in Houston with my boys!! Best weekend ever! Get excited for fun updates next week!!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

I'm Leavin (not on a jet plane)

Peace out ya'll!!
Me, Tiff,
(you know, my car Tiffany)

and this handsome
who will be getting a bath before he gets into Tiffany which means I will also be (unwillingly) getting a bath
Are heading down to Houston this afternoon to see this guy...
And if you're wondering, "Who's that guy?!"...then you must be new here...
(WELCOME!! I LOVE YOU ALREADY!!)

And if you aren't new and you're still all like, "No, but really, who is that guy?"
lets just say:
we've dated for 3 years minus 3 months this summer where he was a complete idiot lost his mind, then realized that he was a complete idiot lost his mind and wanted me back.
We're still working on the 'wanting me back' part.

I'm tellin ya'll...if my life was a reality show, these past couple of months would have been AMAZING tv.
And I'd be super rich...
*sigh*

I'll be back with an update from the weekend next week!!
Get excited!
And I promise to take pictures this weekend...seriously...must. take. pictures!!!

Have a great Thursday ya'll!

Wednesday!!

I realize I've been a terrible blogger lately.
*shame, shame, shame*

These things happen when you no longer lay around in the bed all day and watch Bravo until your hair falls out (okay, my hair didn't fall out, but my pride certainly did).

For now it's Wednesday, my favorite day for link ups!
So link up I shall!

{I'm Loving} that I got to see wonderful friends this weekend in Fayetteville!!
(I'm not loving that I didn't take 1 single picture...I'm awful)

{I'm Loving} that my Hoggies beat Auburn and are holding strong at #10 in the country!
woooooo pig sooie!!

{I'm Loving} that I'm going to see someone down in Houston this weekend.

Cue Rebecca Black Music!

It's finally Friday friends!!
I'm off on another adventure this weekend back to Fayetteville to watch my Hogs play and I'm so excited to see old friends!

I am most excited to be reunited with this ladyfriend...
oh college, how I miss you.

I'm sure I'll have tons of fun stories from this weekend so get excited bloggy world!

Here's a pic of some friends from last weeks tailgating extravaganza at Dallas Cowboy Stadium before we witnessed our Hogs properly welcoming A&M to the SEC
(sorry I'm not sorry for loving football so much!)

For now it's on to my favorite Friday link up with Lauren @the little things we do
1.   Something popular that I can't stand/just don't "get" is Lady Gaga...girlfriend wears meat dresses and puts little latex horns on her face...she isn't right, ya'lll.  I don't get it.

2.   Something unpopular that I secretly love is being at home alone.  I don't know if it's because I'm an only child and I'm used to entertaining myself, but sometimes I just love laying around the house with no one around watching whatever terrible shows I want to watch and occasionally singing at the top of my lungs. Try it...it's like therapy.

3.  When I've had a bad day I call my momma and vent...then let her tell me to get over it and in some way it was probably my fault. I love that woman.

4. I'd prefer chips to chocolate any day.

5.  Something that makes me nervous is the future...but that's life, and in all honesty it's more excitement than nervousness that I feel...I just don't like not knowing what's going to happen!! I guess I'm a little OCD like that.

6.  Something worth fighting for is love.  For a while in my life I wasn't sure that 'love' was a real thing, then I thought I had it, then I lost it, and now I'm gaining it back again.  Now I think love is the most powerful thing in our lives and I would rather love and be heartbroken than never to take the chance to truly know what love is.

7.  When people think of me, I hope they think "Sarah is hilarious, a little crazy, and I want to be her best friend!" haha

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and a fun filled weekend!!

What would you do?!

So they don't have the slogan "Keep Austin Weird" for nothing.

I just spent the most whirlwind week of my life going from (now get this) Shreveport to Austin, to Houston, to Dallas, to Ft. Worth, to Dallas, to Houston, and back to Shreveport.

Worn out yet??

I have to say though, it was a BLASTTTT!!!!

BUT...this leads me to my next point...Have ya'll ever seen that show on ABC "What Would You Do" where they put unsuspecting people in situations where they have to choose to do the 'right' thing then come out of nowhere with hidden cameras and embarrass them for the rest of their lives?
Yeah, I felt like I was on that show a lot last week...minus the hidden cameras i think.

Sitch #1:
I was out to dinner with John (yes we're talking again...another post for another time but just know smiles are on my face 24/7) and because this was our first 'date' since he lost his mind and broke up with me and I stopped talking, he had some serious impressing to do.  So, he took me to this super nice restaurant in Austin to be wined and dined.  Dinner was DELISH and we were just finishing up dessert when (ya'll, I'm not kidding) a ROACH ran across the table.
I died.
I literally had to put my fork down and call it a day with the eating.
But just as this roach was making its escape, the waiter came up and started stomping after it.
Can you imagine?!
This was a really nice place too...I mean I guess you can't control where a little bug goes, but dang!!

So...What would you do?! Would you freak and scream and demand your dinner be free or would you politely ask for your check and haul it outta there....we're obviously classy people so we decided to bounce and head down to dirty 6th Street...duh.

Sitch #2:
I needed to fill up my baby tahoe with gas because girlfriend was running on E so I stopped at this gas station close to the hotel I was staying at in Austin to refuel.
I was paying with cash and wasn't sure how much it would take to fill up my big baby so I just gave the clerk a hundy and went back out to fill 'er up.
It took $75 to go from E to F so I went back inside to get my change.
Now I'm sure this gas station clerk was a nice stand up guy, but I'm not going to lie he looked like he had been constantly high for most of his adult life. So I go up to the counter and say
"I need the change for #2"
"Okay cool, here ya go"
"Thanks"

So I grab the money and walk back to pump #2 where my car awaits.  When I get in the car and start putting the $$$ back in my purse I notice that this nice gentleman has not given me the $25 I need, but has given me $85....now I don't know what kind of math this guy has taken in his life, but I can't figure out where he came up with $85 in change.
So I sat there a minute thinking "wait. what?!"

So...what would you do?! Would you drive off yelling "SUCKER!!" out your car window then head down to the mall and buy some new shoes or would you go back inside and tell the man to take 2nd grade math over again and learn how to subtract?

I being classy and in all honesty thinking I could be on hidden camera went back inside and the convo went a little like this:
me:"um, you gave me the wrong change"
dude:"oh wow, yeah I did. hahaha"
me:(trying to make this as painless as possible) "I need $25, you gave me $85"
dude: "no way! that would have totes sucked coming outta my paycheck"
me:"yeah I bet"

and then ya'll...I can't make this stuff up...the people that were in line to buy stuff at this gas station started to applaud me.
Not. Kidding.
One girl was like "OMG, you're such a nice person!!" and I was like "yeah, it's called honesty"...and I high tailed it out of there.

This is my life.

I could go on and on with rando stories but I've got to get back to work!

I've missed you all so so much!

I'm heading off to the 'ol alma mater this weekend to watch Arkansas DESTROY play Auburn in Fayetteville!

WOOOO PIG!!

Until next time!!
