Fitness Friday!

It's Friday!!
We made it!

I'm spending the day doing a little shopping for the weekend ahead.
John and I are leaving on a jet plane headed to Memphis this afternoon to see some long lost friends and hang out at the Beale Street Music Fest!

Last year was my frist time at Music Fest because it always falls around finals time.
Only good thing about not being in college = No more finals!
Hooray!
If this year is anything like last, it'll be a good time!

Lets get back on track with Fitness Friday!

Just to recap, I've been working out on the reg for about the past month, maybe a little more, and I am seeing no results. 
John says he can tell my body is looking more tone, but seriously none of my clothes are fitting any better, and that's basically what I base my weight off of because me and the scale have a pretty significant hate-hate relationship.

I digress...
So I've been doing some research and have definitely found out three things that I've been doing that is definitely not helping my weight loss journey.

1. EAT BREAKFAST. 
I've never been a breakfast person, like, ever. 
In fact, unless it's momma's own grits, eggs, bacon, and biscuit...then no thank you I'll pass.
However, I read the other day that people who do not eat breakfast are 450 times more likely to be obese... uh WHAT?!
So after I picked my jaw up off the floor, and cried a little bit about what I've been doing with my life for the past 24 years, I decided that if I want to lose, I've got to eat... such a tough idea for me to understand.

Each morning I've been eating Peanut Butter Toast with Banana and Honey

This is a quick easy breakfast and it gives you plenty of protein and energy for the morning!

2. CARDIO
I am by no means a runner.
Have ya'll seen this little girl floating around the internet
this would be an accurate depiction of my running abilities. 
None the less, I've started the Couch to 5K program
It SUCKS is easy to do in place of my daily walks with Cash.
Although I'm pretty sure Cash is just as lazy as his momma and has not been appreciating the extra exertion he has to put out.
Hopefully I and Cash be running for a solid 30mins in no time....

3. BLAME IT ON THE ALCOHOL
Yes, this girl likes to have a drink or 5 on the weekends with friends.
Unfortunately I've discovered that I'm basically working out all week just to throw it away on the weekend party.
Not fair, but that's life.
And while I'm not willing to completely give up my red solo cup life style sorry momma, I've decided to put down the heavy beer and pick up something a little lighter.
Skinny Girl margs anyone?


After implementing these three changes, I'm hoping to see some results headed my way soon...because lets be honest, I'm not working out for the thrill.
Blah.

I LOVE the skinnygirl cocktail line. So perfect for still having a night out but not blowing your good habits all week! Good luck with your changes!!

Those skinny girl drinks are legit! I would love to be friend with Bethanny IRL! Good luck with your 5k training, and more importantly have a freaking BLAST in Memphis this weekend!

I think we are the same person? haha! I'm in the same situation: been working out for a month and I'm not seeing the results I'd expected. Don't be discouraged! Keep it up. We'll get skinniesss together.

P.S. Good luck with the Skinny Girl Margs - I tried them. Not a fan!
