You know it's fun to stay at the...

That's right ya'll.
As of Wednesday, I'm a new member at the local Y.
And when I say local, I mean it's less than 5mins away, so naturally this is why I joined.

Yesterday I had my first Y experience.
It.
Was.
Awesome.

While, sadly, there wasn't any of this going on...
...there was a whole lot of this...
and if you need to know one thing about me, know that I LOVE old people.

They're the best.

I went to a kickboxing class yesterday morning.  The others in the class were in their 30's and 40's.
I can deal with that.
After the kickboxing, I went to a flexibility class which is basically a class where you stretch.
Awesome after kickboxing right? Right!

So I waltz in there all red face and sweaty from beating up imaginary people only to be met by a class of 70+ year olds.
Old people need to get their stretch on too.
The instructor turned off all the lights and played soft music while he instructed us on each move.
Things were going awesome until I started noticing a pattern.

People were falling asleep in the class.

Okay, I get that it's 9am, I get that this is a relaxation class, I get you're 100 years old, but c'mon!
The snoring was overtaking the music.
I had to control myself from dying laughing.

I mean, after the class was over, the instructor (who was himself well into his 60s) had to go SHAKE people awake.

Oh how I wish I had a hidden camera.

Needless to say, I am SO GLAD I joined the YMCA.
I will admit I was a little hesitant at first, I don't know why, but I was.
Not hesitant anymore!
I'll be going back daily, if not for the exercise, for the amazing people watching.

Hope you all have a funnn weekend!!
Don't forget to wear green!

Hahaha I laughed out loud at the part about people falling asleep in class. Too funny! I bet your YMCA membership will not only provide you with fitness opportunities, but lots of stories as well!
