I just cannot believe that today is Christmas Eve!
I have a busy week coming up so I'm going to take a mini-break from blog world (which I feel like I've been doing a lot lately), but I wanted to let ya'll know what I'll be doing while you're missing me (you'll miss me, right?)!
Tomorrow is Jesus' B-day party and we've all been invited so I can't miss out on it.
On Monday I'm heading to Memphis to see John and his family for a couple of days because it has been FOREVER since I've seen them and that is just not okay.
Friday John and I are heading back down here to good 'ol Benton, LA to pack up my things in a 14ft U-hall and U-hall me down to Houston!
Saturday we're unpacking me into my new house then celebrating New Year with some amazing friends!
Sunday and Monday we're keepin on keepin on unpacking me into the garage (I don't get to officially move into the house until the 5th because they've got to clean it up) while nursing what I'm sure will be a hangover of epic proportions.
Don't judge me Momma.
Then the rest of that week will be spent buying literally everything shopping a little at IKEA and biting my nails until I can officially start decorating!!
On January 5th, when John gets off work, we'll be heading up to Dallas to watch out Hoggies dominate in the Cotton Bowl!
John's b-day is on the 7th and its become a tradition that I get him tickets to something, so this year, the Cotton Bowl it is!
He's one lucky fella.
On the 9th the 'rents are heading down to help me do some furniture shopping (because i'm indecisive and need help) then it's all decorating and home living from there on out!
Whew, are you worn out?
Because I most definitely am and it hasn't even started yet.
This post was long and sans pics...sorry folks...that's boring.
But I just wanted you to know why you're being neglected for a while :)
You're Welcome.
LOVE YOU ALL and I hope you have the Merriest of Christmases!
Christmas is 3 days away (say WHAT?!) and with this busy busy season I think it would benefit us all if we stop for a second and remember that it's okay...
It's Okay...
...to laugh at peoples Christmas card awkwardness
...to be ghetto less than friendly when you go to the mall, drive around for THIRTY minutes looking for a parking spot, creep on some Asian family, wait for them to get into their minivan, get ready to pull in their spot, only to have some b@!### cut in front of you and steal the spot.
Granny has the right idea.
...to be more excited about the gifts your giving for Christmas than the ones you're getting.
...to be 24 going on 17 and sad to be moving away from your momma and papa bear.
...to KNOW that Nsync Christmas will forever be the greatest Christmas album of all time.
I feel like I've been going non stop these past couple of days, but in all reality I haven't been doing all that much. Yesterday, I went to the mall with everyone and their brother to pick up some last minute Christmas presents.
It. Was. Awful.
If you don't have to get out the next few days...DON'T DO IT!
Buuut, with that being said, I'll probably venture out again today to do some little furniture scouting for my upcoming move.
Lord be with me.
For now, lets link up with Jamie and Michelle (because there's no Christmas shopping nightmares in bloggy land).
{I'm Loving} that I'm all packed and ready for the big move to Houston! This guy tried to help out with the packing.
{I'm Loving} Christmas time at my house courtesy of Momma bear.
sorry for the blurry iphone pics.
{I'm Loving} that I got to go to my first NFL game this weekend with some great friends!
like I'm talking John called me on his way to work this morning at 7:30 (like he does every morning) and I didn't even know I talked to him...
I woke up at 10:30 not knowing where I was and wondering why on Earth he didn't call me!
I'm losing my mind.
I've got about a million things to do before the big move to Houston and spent all day yesterday packing up my junk stuff into boxes because I'll be out of town basically now until January 7th!
Why is this time of year always so crazy?
So I'm sorry to say I'm not doing my usual link ups today (which is devastating, I know).
But I did want to give a huge HOLLARRR to the newest followers of my little blog!
SUUUP! So glad you're here!
I'm sorry if you've commented on a post in the past couple of days and I haven't gotten back to you...just know my life has been cray as of late and I haven't had time :( I'm sorry!
I do read them all and LOVE all of the happys you have to say!
Makes my day!
I'm off to Houston tomorrow, but I'm taking my computer with me so I'll fingers crossed have some updates in the next few days!
Today's theme is about Love, and since I'm down in Houston with my boo, I thought it was pretty fitting
:)
1. Love is all you need.
2. Being in love feels like the happiest feeling in the world...I'm talking kids at Disney world kind of happy!
3. My favorite quote about love is "We're all a little weird, and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love."--Dr. Seuss
4. The most important thing in a relationship is laughter, honesty, and commitment.
5. A "deal breaker" for me in a relationship is cheating. You're either only with me or not with me at all!
6. The way I show love in my relationships is by always being there when he needs me, making him laugh (because I'm so hilarious), and being truly myself and comfortable around him (maybe too comfortable...ha).
7. I love my handsome John Andrew.
Well now I feel all warm and fuzzy inside!
I love love...don't you?
Have a wonderful Friday and remember I love ya'll!!
I'm down in Houston getting ready to go do a lil shoppin!
Is it cold where you are? Because it is COLD down here! I thought Houston was supposed to be warm? I need to go to Florida...I mean, I like the cooler weather but theres no need for freezing temps.
Know what I'm sayin?
Since I'm fully in the Christmas spirit,
(John gave me my first gift last night)
...boyfriend did good
I decided it would be fun to fill out some Christmas questions I saw over on my girl Holly's blog!
Who doesn't love a good questionnaire?
1. Eggnog or hot chocolate? Oh, Hot Chocolate fa sho. While I'm not sure if I've ever tried it, the idea of Eggnog makes me gag.
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just set them under the tree? He wraps smaller presents, but the big presents (like a shiny new bicycle left for you outside) he usually comes up with a clever rhyme that sends you on a scavenger hunt to find it... I'm saying this from experience with Santa.
3. Colored lights or white? White lights all the way.
4. Do you hang mistletoe? There's usually some mistletoe hanging around our house for Christmas, but I've never really paid attention to it.
5. When do you decorate for Christmas? "I" do not decorate for Christmas...Momma Clause is the Christmas decor extraordinare in our house hold and she usually has it all up the week after Thanksgiving.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish, excluding dessert? Hmm...there's so many, probably momma's green bean caserole, she just knows how to do it.
7. Favorite holiday memory as a child? Probably the tradition of going over to my Granny's house with the entire family and playing football outside and just visiting. Ever since Granny passed away we haven't gotten together and it kind of makes me sad.
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I'm not sure if I ever really believed there was a Santa in my mind, but you better believe to this day there are presents under the tree that say "To: Sarah From: Santa" and since 'Santa' always does a pretty good job with his gifts, I'm not going to say a word!
9. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? White lights, ornaments and bows. Someday when I have my own Christmas tree, I'd want to put ribbon around it. I think that's so pretty.
10. Snow. Love it or hate it? Love it if it gets me out of going to school or work....don't really care much for it otherwise.
11. Can you ice skate? Sure, but I'm no Nancy Kerrigan.
12. Do you remember your favorite gift? I get my favorite gift just about every year so it's hard just to choose one. I think my most memorable gift was my first computer...I think I was like 12 or 13. Pretty sure I cried. Also pretty sure it weighed 300 pounds. It. Was. Perfect.
13. What is the most important thing about the holidays to you? Family, friends and little 8lb 6oz baby Jesus.
14. What is your favorite holiday dessert? Momma's Cheesecake (which she made for Thanksgiving so we probably wont see it for another 3 years) and Momma's Pumpkin Pie...which reminds me, I think I'll go have a Pumpkin Spice Latte today!
15. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Having little elves put various gifts into my stocking days leading up to Christmas.... I absolutely love when I'm sitting on the couch and momma walks through the living room, cuts her eyes over to the stockings, and my stocking looks a little fatter than the others!
16. What tops your tree? An angel.
17. Which do you prefer, giving or receiving? Giving all the way. I love knowing that you've found the 'perfect' gift for someone and getting to see their face when they open it!
18. What is your favorite Christmas song? 'Oh Holy Night' sung by Mariah Carey
...and anything off of the Nsync Christmas album. duh.
19. Candy canes. Yuck or yum? They're just 'okay'...I'm not a big fan of peppermints.
If you know anything about the bloggy world then you've probably heard of
So when I read her blog (read it it's hilarious) yesterday, I knew I had to try this.
Here's the original text and a glimpse into my simple minded humor...
Naturally, I wanted to try this out on John...because any time I can make a joke at his expense is a good time to me.
Love you :)
And then we broke up.
I kid, I kid.
He loves me.
But since he ruins everything, I decided to try again on the bff
And this is why we're best friends.
So now that anyone I would probably ever text will read this, my fun game is over and I didn't even get to make anyone but myself laugh (I was totally giggling the entire time I was texting John).
But don't you think I won't be searching for something else to annoy John with!
In the meantime, if you are like me and sometimes enjoy other peoples simple mindedness, check out
