{I'm Loving} that COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS BAAAAAACK!!!!

Bring it on SEC wanna-bees (I'm talking to you A&M) the Hogs are taking it all this year! 

{I'm Loving} inside jokes with best friends.  Pretty sure my friends and I could have an entire conversation without anyone knowing what in the world we were talking about.  True friendship right there. 

{I'm Loving} text messages that make you smile.  I usually think texting is the worst way to communicate because you can't hear the persons tone or voice inflection... but with that being said, I text 99% of the time. SO when you get a text and you can hear in your head exactly how that person is meaning for it to be said, it's pretty awesome.

{I'm Loving} that I'm going back to the homestead of Hot Springs for some Labor Day weekend shenanigans with my bests.  Hot Springs is surrounded by lakes and Labor Day weekend is one of the most fun weekends to be out and enjoying the end of the summer! 

and as always {I'm Loving} my handsomes!

I don't know about ya'll but I loooove me some quotes.  I love the way other people seem to figure out exactly what I want to say, write it in a pretty font, and then make me say "ohh I like that".

So this week I've been on a super quote kick on Pinterest and I looooove it!

there's just something about this that makes me say 'yes!' and do a little fist pump.

weekend recap!

The past couple of weekends I have been out of town playing with long lost friends so it was nice to just stay at home this weekend and relax a little while still having fun! 

The morning weather has actually been bearable this weekend so I took the opportunity Saturday morning to give gigantor little puppy Cash a bath.

Thankfully, as I struggled to give my 100lb+ sweetheart a little cleansing soak, my wonderful mother was there to laugh and take pictures... so here ya go.

Cash started out being VERY good and getting in the tub like his Momma asked him to

And that lasted all of two seconds....

So Cashs poor helpless Mother had to try and pick up baby Cash who weighs over 100lbs and put him into the tub.

(don't mind Ginny trying to drink the bath water)

Oh so so happy to be giving wild puppy a bath!

Then finally it was time for the hose down... you can clearly see the joy and excitement on his face.

Finally a handsome clean puppy!!

So while that took up the majority of my Saturday morning, I spent the rest of the day straight chillin and getting ready for the Gala that night.

Of course this is the only picture I took, but I'm pretty okay with it.  

I plan on recycling this dress for a wedding in October so the less pictures of it now the better.

It was a fun night of drinks, dance, and laughs.

Girlfriend may or may not have even got up on stage with the band and danced.

Straight class.

However... I did acquire this lovely piece of jewelry courtesy of said Gala.

All in all it was a great weekend! 

I wanted to give a quick ***THANKS*** to all of my sweet followers!!

You have no idea how much it makes me smile to read all of your sweet comments! I'm thankful for all of you and I'm so glad that I started this blog!

Friday is the Best day

Friday is my favorite day of the week.

I mean they don't say 'T.G.I.F" for nothin!

1.   One of life's most simple pleasures is having your dog be so excited to see you at the end of a long day.

2.    Job searching makes me want to punch someone.

3.  I like sweet tea  because, it is delicious. 

4.  Superfluous is a funny word.

5.  If I had to choose one beauty product to use for the rest of eternity it would be probably one of those body wash/ shampoo all in one things... which kind of gross me out but if I had to choose I guess that's my only option.

6.  I'm happy that I'm figuring out my life and have AMAZING plans for the future!

7.  I would never cheat on someone.  That is the worst possible betrayal.  I don't care the situation. If you care enough to call the person your boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife... or whatever, you should have enough respect for that person to control your self and call it off if you're having those kinds of thoughts. I will never ever cheat on someone.

Crazy nail people

TRUE LIFE: I'm a nail biter

It's a disgusting habit, but for whatever reason when I get nervous or embarrassed my fingers travel straight up to my mouth.  

I'm. Gross.

So to prevent me from having the fingernails of a 9 year old boy, I have resorted to getting a manicure at least once every two weeks.

I went and got a manicure today.

It did not turn out okay.

So I go to the same place every time.

They know me by name when I walk in the door.

(It's like Cheers, but with acetone instead of alcohol)

I go to the same two people depending on who is available... Andy or Sandy.

And I'm just guessing here...but there's a high possibility that those are not their birth given names.

Just sayin.

Any way I'm sitting in the chair getting my old manicure soaked off when the usual round of questions come up.

The conversation went a little like this:

Andy: You no work today?

Me: Nope!

Andy: You work tomorrow?

Me: Noooope!

Andy: You go to school today?

Me: No school! I graduated

Andy: Ohhhh so you see your boyfriend this weekend?

Me: No. I don't have a boyfriend.

And then it happened.

Sandy, who was the one working on my hands dropped her little drilling tool which scared me.  I looked over at her and she was looking at me like I had told them I just threw a bag of puppies over a bridge.

Andy (Laughing): Ohhh I see... a joke! You have boyfriend!

Me (wanting Andy to sit on the little drilling tool): Nope...sure don't.  

Sandy: You must have boyfriend.  Buy you nice car.

Me: I'm just fine.  I don't need a boyfriend.

And then it happened again.

Sandy: You need a man.  Everyone need boyfriend.

Me (oh super fake smile here): ..........

Sandy: I do your nail so you find a man.

Andy: So you don't have a boyfriend?

Me: NO. 

And then I started crying in the nail salon.  

Yep.

Just tear after tear rolling down my face.

Not because I am just so devastated about not having a boyfriend.  

Believe me I'm not.  

It had just been a long day and good Lord, quit hounding me people!

So as I'm trying to stop my tears...

Sandy: Ohh no.  Weepy!

Andy: Nooooooooo!

Me: It's okay. It's okay.

Sandy: FREE NAIL!!!

Me: Oh look, I'm all better now!!

Andy( Laughing): Yay! You find boyfriend this weekend!

Me:........

So for all you single gals out there.

Go to a nail salon... when they ask about your boyfriend (because lets be honest, they always do) just start crying.  For no reason.  And maybe your mani/ pedi will be on the house!

I think the real question should be what isn't your guilty pleasure tv show.  I'm all over anything that comes on E! or Bravo.  I also love Bachelor/Bachelorette/Bachelor Pad and the occasional Jersey Shore to make me feel better about my own  life choices.

Never.  Unless you're Mr. Clean.

Long flowy shirts worn with the sleeves rolled up.

{five} if you could learn to do anything, money not being an issue, what would it be?

Run a marathon.  I am not a runner.... I try to run and as soon as I take off it's like my body says 'oh no you don't'.

Bud Light?


{seven} what type of food is your favorite (ex. italian, mexican, etc.)

Italian...pasta, sauce, bread sticks...yum yum yum

{eight} hp or mac?

Once you go Mac, you never go back.

{nine} what color is your bedroom?

Light lavender.  So calm and peaceful.

{ten} what's your favorite form of exercise?

Kick Boxing.  I enjoy picturing certain people and then kick boxing the you know what out of them.  GREAT release of stress.

what a weekend

Best. Weekend. Ever.

You know it's a good weekend when you walk away with so many inside jokes that you could carry on an entire conversation that no one else would understand.

This weekend included:

-night time boating until 5am

-Hot Springs casino... not what it's cracked up to be

-High School reunion...where no one recognized me (I take this as a compliment)

-Dancing until 3am

and

-Watching 'The Help'... Amazing movie

And, of course, in typical style I took NO pictures

shame, shame, shame

I was having too much fun to worry about capturing the moment I guess...but that's always my excuse!

weekend trips

If weekend getaways weren't reason enough to get out of the bed in the morning, weekend getaways with friends should surely do the trick.

I'm leaving (not on a jet plane this time) today to head up to my old stomping grounds to spend the weekend with friends.

I.

Can.

Not.

Wait!

And so you sit there asking yourself, "well, Sarah...why aren't you on the road yet if you're so excited?"

And to that I reply, "well because I am still laying in bed and have yet to pack."

Embarrassing

Good thing I'm a "throw-it-in-a-bag-and-go" kind of girl.

Really I'm a "last-minute-procrastinating" kind of girl....but that's neither here nor there.

{I'm Loving} that I had SUCH a great weekend with my bestie in St. Louis this past weekend!

We went to a Cardinals game...

It was a little rainy but it the temperatures were awesome!

Saturday we went shopping and I found some cute things at Urban Outfitters.  H&M was a total bust...I'm sure we just missed the tornado that had to have blown through the place.

What a disappointment.

All in all it was a great weekend!

I survived my first trip flying alone!

Look at me, all grown up at 24...

{I'm Loving} that I'll get to see my high school besties this weekend!!

There are no words for how much fun we have when the three of us get together.

Lots of laughs are to come this weekend and I can't wait!
